In 2008 the Gateway School of Fashion opened its doors to the first cohort of students. Twenty-two applicants with potential and talent were selected to become Project Gateway’s first Fashion School students.

Due to reduced funding only thirteen students were selected for the Gateway School of Fashion in 2009. The curriculum continues to be supported by UCA staff visits with a growing number of UCA Graduate student volunteers.
